Tangzu launched a new version of its Crossbody Audio bag last Wednesday (25). The product was designed to store DAPs (Digital Audio Players), IEMs (in-ear monitors), and cables. Its main highlight is the increased number of compartments. Below, you can find all the details about Tangzu’s latest release.
The original (OG) version of the Tangzu Crossbody Audio bag had only a few compartments, one of which featured a drawstring closure. In my opinion, this design made it feel more like a “corporate giveaway” than a well-made accessory. Below is an image of the first version of the Tangzu Crossbody Audio bag.

Over time, Tangzu realized that the design adopted for its bag was not particularly appealing and decided to release a second version. The following image shows the new version of the product.

The new Tangzu Crossbody Audio bag features two compartments on the front. One uses a magnetic closure, while the other remains open for frequently used items, such as a smartphone. The image below provides an overview of the product’s design.

On the back of the bag, there is a small zippered compartment. At the top, there is a large main compartment with several internal dividers. The image below shows the magnetic front compartment, the rear pocket, and the main storage area intended to hold most of the audio equipment.

The main competitor to the Tangzu Crossbody Audio bag is the FiiO NEST EDC. Although Tangzu does not provide its dimensions, the images clearly show that the bag is considerably wider than its competitor. Below is an image of the bag manufactured by FiiO.

When comparing the thickness of the NEST EDC with that of the Crossbody Audio, the Tangzu bag is clearly slimmer. That said, I would be unsure which option would be more comfortable to use.

The external fabric used for the FiiO and Tangzu bags is similar. However, the interior of the NEST EDC is different.
Personally, I find the black pattern used inside the FiiO bag more appealing because it is more understated than the one used by Tangzu. For comparison, see the image below and the previous photographs.

The Tangzu bag’s strap consists of a cord with a short, wide fabric section. The FiiO NEST EDC, by contrast, uses a full-length fabric strap. It is impossible to determine which strap is more comfortable without conducting a side-by-side comparison, but I believe the NEST EDC may have an advantage in this regard.

The new Tangzu Crossbody Audio bag is already available in brown and blue for $14.81 through Tangzu’s official store on AliExpress.
