The FiiO NEST CANS Nano was launched today (August 27) in mainland China. Designed for over-ear headphones with foldable headbands, the NEST CANS Nano is a more portable alternative to the standard NEST CANS. Its shape is based on the dimensions of the JadeAudio JT9, which was released this August, but it is also compatible with other models. Check out all the details about FiiO’s latest release below.

The NEST CANS Nano carrying case was developed based on the dimensions of the JadeAudio JT9, which features a foldable headband. It was designed to store the headphones in their most compact form, with the headband folded.

A more portable solution than the standard NEST CANS

When headphones are stored with their headband folded inside the standard NEST CANS, a large portion of the case remains empty. As a result, the case takes up unnecessary space in a backpack or suitcase, for example. With this in mind, FiiO created the NEST CANS Nano, a carrying case tailored to headphones with foldable headbands.

NEST CANS Nano compatibility

Both the NEST CANS and the NEST CANS Nano were designed to carry over-ear headphones. However, with the introduction of the NEST CANS Nano, the standard NEST CANS is now recommended only for headphones whose headbands cannot be folded.

The NEST CANS Nano is compatible with the following FiiO headphones:

• JadeAudio JT9
• JadeAudio JT7
• FiiO FG3
• FiiO FG5

The standard NEST CANS, meanwhile, can accommodate over-ear headphones from the FT series (FT1, FT1 Pro, FT5, FT13, and FT7) and JT series (JT3, JT1, and JT7).

Understated and robust design

FiiO chose black for the NEST CANS Nano, giving the case a discreet appearance that does not attract attention while being carried. In addition, it uses a high-density fabric that provides resistance to liquids and prevents dust from accumulating. According to FiiO, the exterior fabric feels soft and does not pill easily, even after prolonged use.

Inside, the NEST CANS Nano features a lining made from highly elastic EVA. The material does not deform easily and provides effective cushioning, protecting the headphones against impacts and helping ensure their durability.

Release date, price, and availability

The FiiO NEST CANS Nano is now available in black for 29.9 yuan (approximately US$4.45) in mainland China. Pricing and a release date for the NEST CANS Nano in the international market have not yet been announced. This article will be updated as soon as further information becomes available.
