FiiO DT11 Portable Android Digital Transport (Image: FiiO)
The pre-order period for the FiiO DT11, a portable Android-based digital audio transport, began today (August 26). The information was disclosed on the Head-Fi forum shortly after Sunny, a FiiO representative, shared a promotional banner for the DT11. See all the details below.
Update (August 30): The FiiO DT11 had its price adjusted one day after the start of pre-orders, so the amount stated in the “Release, Price, and Availability” section has been updated. Explanations regarding the digital conditioning circuit for data transmission through the USB port have also been added.
Update (August 31): A list of the countries where the FiiO DT11 is available for purchase through FiiO’s official AliExpress store has been added to the “Release, price, and availability” section. In addition, an explanation of the price differences between regions has been included.
To gauge purchase interest, Sunny, a FiiO representative, presented a proposal on the U.S.-based Head-Fi forum. The idea was to offer the DT11 through FiiO’s official AliExpress store with full payment required at the time of pre-order.
Published on August 7 in the “Face to face with James, Anything about FiiO” thread on the Head-Fi forum, Sunny’s message stated the following:
“The initial production run will be limited. We may offer pre-orders with full payment through our official AliExpress store, allowing you to secure your order and gain early access to the device.”
The same post stated that, if there was sufficient interest in purchasing the DT11, pre-orders would begin in late August. Head-Fi users responded positively, and a product listing was subsequently created on FiiO’s official AliExpress store this Wednesday (August 26).

Along with the start of DT11 pre-orders, a promotional banner for the product was shared. The material contains only information about the product’s main features, but fortunately, Hi-Fi Hub has already gathered all the available details for you.
Photos shared on the Rednote social network revealed that the FiiO DT11 has five operating modes:
• Android Mode
• Pure Music Mode
• USB DAC Mode
• Bluetooth Receiving Mode
• AirPlay

The DT11 can deliver its best performance only in Android Mode and Pure Music Mode. These modes allow users to employ the USB and coaxial connections and benefit from the improvements implemented in the device.
To provide broader compatibility, FiiO equipped the DT11 with two 3.5 mm coaxial ports. One uses FiiO’s proprietary pinout, while the other adopts a universal pinout. According to a Rednote user, only the coaxial port with FiiO’s pinout features electrical isolation.
Below, you can see a photo of the coaxial ports located on the top of the DT11.

The DT11 has two USB-C ports: one for power and another for data transmission. Separating digital data transmission from the power supply is important for preventing interference.

FiiO developed a digital conditioning system designed to reduce interference during audio signal transmission. According to FiiO CEO James Chung, the USB-C port dedicated to data “features shaping and isolation, making the transmitted digital signal waveform cleaner and more standardized.”
The benefits of isolating the data USB port can only be used when connecting DACs with built-in batteries or desktop DACs connected to a power outlet. When the DT11 is connected this way, it operates in “USB Clean” mode.
Another operating mode, called “USB Direct,” was developed for connecting portable DAC/amps without internal batteries. When this mode is enabled, the USB data port supplies power, with an output capacity of up to 9 W.
The FiiO DT11 includes Desktop Mode. However, because the device has no amplification circuit or headphone outputs, this feature serves only to bypass the battery.
To provide the DT11 with a stable, interference-free digital audio stream, FiiO implemented a high-capacity FPGA chip. The company also used two high-performance femtosecond crystal oscillators. The same configuration is employed in FiiO’s top-of-the-line DAP, the M27.
Because the DT11 was designed for both portable and desktop use, it features a MagSafe-compatible magnet. This allows users to attach a portable DAC/amp to the back of the device or mount the DT11 itself on a MagSafe-compatible desktop stand.

The FiiO DT11 can provide up to 20 hours of continuous playback through its 4,000 mAh lithium-ion battery. This battery life exceeds the 16 hours previously announced by the company.
