FiiO AIR AMP integrated amplifier (Image: FiiO)
The FiiO AIR AMP was launched today (August 10) in mainland China. Following the launch of the LEVEL 1 and EA13 integrated amplifiers, FiiO is introducing the AIR AMP as an all-in-one solution for speaker systems. It can be used as an amplifier, DAC, streamer, and transport for local file playback. Below are all the details about FiiO’s latest release.
Update (August 19): The FiiO AIR AMP is now available from FiiO’s official store on AliExpress.
The AIR AMP features a compact chassis and is capable of performing several functions beyond speaker amplification. It can be used for both streaming and local playback. In addition, it functions as a DAC, allowing it to be connected to PCs and CD players, for example.
As you can see in the image below, the FiiO AIR AMP is compact enough to be placed even underneath a monitor.

The AIR AMP is a Class D integrated amplifier. It uses the Texas Instruments TPA3255 chip and is capable of delivering up to 235 W + 235 W into 4 Ω.
When a 48 V/5 A power supply is used, the AIR AMP’s output power drops to 120 W + 120 W into 4 Ω. To achieve the amplifier’s maximum output power, FiiO states that a 48 V/10 A power supply is required.
Note that the AIR AMP’s performance may differ from that of models from other brands that use the TPA3255. This was demonstrated during iiWi Reviews’ review of the Aiyima A20 on YouTube.
As with the LEVEL 1, the AIR AMP features capacitors from internationally recognized brands. Components from Japanese manufacturers Nichicon and ELNA are used, along with capacitors from German manufacturer WIMA.
For music streaming, the AIR AMP supports Roon, AirPlay, and QPlay.
To play music locally on the AIR AMP, simply connect a portable hard drive or USB flash drive via USB. You can also access your NAS over the network via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. The FiiO Control app is used to select the storage device and the tracks to be played.

The AIR AMP can be connected in several ways for music playback and amplification.
For audio playback, the AIR AMP supports connections via Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, optical Toslink, coaxial, Roon, and USB. For amplification, it can be connected to passive speakers, an active subwoofer, or a headphone amplifier.
When connecting the AIR AMP via USB, you can use a smartphone, PC, or portable hard drive. If you want to use a NAS or Roon, simply use the FiiO Control app to connect to the server via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

To connect the AIR AMP to the internet, you can use its dual-band Wi-Fi antenna (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) or its Gigabit Ethernet port (1000 Mbps).
Through the FiiO Control app, available via both web and mobile interfaces, it is possible to use a parametric equalizer (PEQ) with the FiiO AIR AMP. In addition, AUTO EQ can be used to simplify the application of equalization adjustments. Preset equalization profiles are also available.

The AIR AMP includes an infrared remote control in the box. It can be used to select the desired input, adjust the volume, and switch between saved equalization (EQ) profiles.
When using the FiiO Control app, control over the AIR AMP becomes even more comprehensive, providing access to all of the device’s functions and settings. It is important to note that FiiO Control can be accessed through a web browser on a PC or through the app on a smartphone or tablet.
