The EPZ GM55 was launched today (July 31) in mainland China. EPZ’s new wireless gaming headset costs less than US$100 and uses a dynamic driver. Its highlights include up to 200 hours of battery life, a parametric equalizer (PEQ), EQ profile sharing, and four connection modes. Below, you can find all the details about EPZ’s new over-ear gaming headset.

GM55 Brings Advanced Features at a Low Price

If you are looking for a wireless over-ear headset for less than US$100, the EPZ GM55 may be a good choice. It is rare to find a headphone with 200 hours of battery life and support for a 10-band parametric equalizer (PEQ).

Another highlight of the GM55 is its four connection modes. The EPZ headset can be connected either wired or wirelessly. This means that even if the battery runs out, you can continue using it for gaming.

Below, we take a closer look at its features.

10-Band Parametric Equalizer (PEQ) and EQ Profile Sharing

EPZ has developed an app for the GM55 that provides access to a 10-band parametric equalizer (PEQ). Through the app, users can adjust the sub-bass, bass, midrange, treble, and upper-treble frequencies. This makes it easier to hear a variety of sounds in games, including vehicles, footsteps, voices, and gunshots.

To simplify the equalization process, EPZ’s app includes a community where users can download different EQ profiles. In addition, users can upload their own PEQ settings to help others optimize the headset for specific games.

Four Connection Modes

The EPZ GM55 can be connected in four different ways:

• USB-C cable with built-in DAC/amp
• 3.5 mm cable
• Bluetooth
• 2.4 GHz wireless via USB dongle

One-Touch Microphone Mute Function

To mute the GM55’s microphone, simply press a button. Unfortunately, this feature is only available when using the headset in wireless modes.
