When it seemed that FiiO’s release calendar had already come to an end, James Chung, the company’s CEO, demonstrated that this assumption was incorrect. The company intends to go even further and introduce a substantial number of products in 2026. On this occasion, James revealed the upcoming launches of portable CD players.
There will be two CD players under the FiiO brand: a non-R2R version of the DM15 and the DM11. In addition, Snowsky will launch a CD player called “NOVA,” which will feature different materials and a distinct design compared to the models marketed under the “FiiO” logo.

The FiiO DM11 was designed for consumers who still consider the price of the DM13 to be high. According to James, the majority of people who purchase CDs today are general consumers who simply enjoy acquiring physical albums, while audiophiles represent a minority.
James also stated that the development of the DM11 went through multiple design iterations in order to achieve a compelling result in terms of size and form factor. The company believes that when people see the appearance of the CD player, they will experience a genuine “wow” effect. Naturally, owners of models such as the DM13 and DM15 will not feel “outdated,” as the DM11 is positioned as an entry-level model.
The release of the FiiO DM11 is scheduled for June 2026.
Featuring a design that differs from that used in FiiO-branded products, the Snowsky NOVA will not only present an appearance more oriented toward the general public but will also employ different materials. According to James, the NOVA will follow the direction of the current “popular” CD players widely seen online.
The launch of the Snowsky NOVA is expected in August 2026.
The FiiO DM15 will employ an AKM AK4493 DAC. According to James, the objective of this version of the DM15 is to appeal to audiophiles who prefer a less colored sound signature when compared to the DM15 R2R.
The FiiO DM15 is expected to be released in March 2026.
