FiiO SnowSky Beatbox: CD Player with FM Radio Announced

The SnowSky Beatbox was announced during CIHE (China Guangzhou International Headphones Expo) 2025, a portable audio event held in Guangzhou, China. The product developed by FiiO’s subsidiary is a CD player with FM radio that features built-in stereo speakers, Bluetooth, an auxiliary input, a headphone output, a USB port for flash drives, and a microSD card slot.

The portable CD player market has seen a resurgence with the launch of several models, as previously covered by Hi-Fi Hub. The SnowSky Beatbox is the latest addition and arguably offers the best value released over the past 12 months. Priced at just 500 yuan (around US$70), the product delivers a wide range of features.

The feature that drew the most attention on the SnowSky Beatbox is the FM radio, which, combined with the built-in pair of stereo speakers, can be useful during gatherings, while preparing dinner, or even for relaxing while lying in bed. For different occasions, it is possible to change the appearance of the lid, as shown in the video below.

The CD player’s base uses a magnetic system, allowing the product to be used either resting directly on a tabletop or mounted/suspended for better viewing of the spinning disc or easier access to the buttons.

If you do not wish to listen to the radio or a CD, the Beatbox also offers the option to stream audio via Bluetooth, connect a device through the auxiliary input, plug in a USB flash drive, or insert a microSD card loaded with music.

Finally, there is also the option to easily replace the battery or use standard batteries, making the product more durable.

Release, price, and availability

The FiiO SnowSky Beatbox was announced at 500 yuan (approximately US$70) in the Chinese market and is expected to reach the international market priced between US$90 and US$100. It is worth noting that the FiiO DM13 costs around US$150 on AliExpress but offers fewer features than the Beatbox. According to FiiO, the SnowSky CD player will be launched in February 2026 in black and white.
