The Snowsky WIND PRO was officially launched today (June 12) in international markets and mainland China. Its build quality has been slightly improved compared to the original WIND, but the WIND PRO also introduces several enhancements to its sound performance. Featuring an acoustic design based on the FiiO EH11, Snowsky’s new on-ear headphone delivers a neutral sound signature with a touch of warmth. Check out all the details of this new release below.

WIND PRO Arrives with a More Durable Cable and Improved Ear Cup Finish

The WIND PRO’s cable is wrapped in a braided fabric sleeve, providing greater durability. This improvement is particularly important because, unlike the Moondrop Fashioned, which competes in the same price range, the cable on this on-ear headphone is not detachable.

The finish of the WIND PRO’s ear cups has also been slightly improved compared to the original WIND. However, the changes appear to be primarily aesthetic rather than a major upgrade in materials. The ear cups are still made of plastic, and the headband remains the same stainless-steel design.

Including the cable, the WIND PRO weighs 22 grams more than the original WIND. Considering that there have been no major structural changes to the headphone, I believe the braided fabric cable sleeve is likely responsible for the increase. Fortunately, Snowsky has also implemented meaningful improvements to the sound.

A More Balanced Sound Signature Based on the FiiO EH11

According to the manufacturer, the WIND PRO uses the same acoustic structure as the FiiO EH11 but features a different tuning. Rather than adopting the EH11’s distinctly warm sound signature, the WIND PRO delivers a more neutral presentation while retaining a touch of warmth.

Snowsky says the WIND PRO pairs particularly well with genres such as jazz and country, as well as vocal-focused music. Thanks to its semi-open design, it offers a more natural midrange presentation and greater treble extension compared to closed-back headphones.

Cable with Remote Controls and Microphone

Like the original WIND, the WIND PRO features an in-line remote control and microphone integrated into the cable. Because it uses a 3.5 mm TRRS plug compatible with the CTIA standard, it can be used with smartphones, tablets, and laptops for voice calls and other communication applications.

Two Pairs of Ear Pads

Continuing the same approach introduced with the original WIND, which makes replacing worn ear pads easier, the WIND PRO includes two pairs of ear pads.
