The Hatsune Miku x Moondrop MIRAGE was announced last Wednesday (May 20). Moondrop decided to follow in the footsteps of Hiby, which previously released a themed DAP inspired by the Vocaloid character, by launching a new TWS in-ear model. Beyond the artwork inspired by Miku, the main highlights include system voice prompts featuring the character’s voice and a leek-shaped (green onion-shaped) protective case. Check below for all the details regarding this new release.
Following the success of the Hiby M500 x Hatsune Miku DAP (Digital Audio Player), Moondrop decided to adopt a similar strategy by releasing a TWS in-ear model inspired by the Vocaloid character. The Hatsune Miku x Moondrop MIRAGE is based on the Hatsune Miku V3 design. Its appearance incorporates not only the character’s iconic color palette but also stylistic elements inspired by her outfit.

To further enhance the overall experience, Moondrop developed a leek-shaped (green onion-shaped) case for the Hatsune Miku x Moondrop MIRAGE. An illustrative image of the accessory is shown below.

The MIRAGE TWS, inspired by the Vocaloid character, includes voice prompts and system notifications performed using Hatsune Miku’s voice. Below is the list of phrases users will hear from the character.
• TWS power-on prompt: “Hello, I’m Hatsune Miku! Let’s get started~”
• TWS power-off prompt: “See you later! Catch you again soon!”
• Pairing mode prompt: “Pairing~”
• Pairing completed prompt: “Pairing completed!”
• Disconnection prompt: “Connection interrupted! The link with Miku has been disconnected!”
• Game mode activation prompt: “Game mode activated! Low-latency mode starting!”
• Music mode activation prompt: “Music mode activated! Music Start~”
• Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) activation prompt: “Noise cancellation activated!”
• Noise reduction mode activation prompt: “Transparency mode activated! Open ears!”
• Transparency mode activation prompt: “Transparency mode activated! External sounds entering your ears!”
• Low battery prompt: “The battery is running low! Miku can no longer sing…”

The Hatsune Miku x Moondrop MIRAGE features the same hardware, physical design, and functionality as the Moondrop Pudding, whose launch was previously reported by Hi-Fi Hub. In other words, it adopts a redesigned shell structure, differing from models such as the Space Travel 2, for example. The earphones also support a 10-band parametric equalizer (PEQ), offer up to 12.5 hours of battery life, and feature an ANC technology called “RT-Adaptive Noise Cancelling.”
Below are the specifications for the Hatsune Miku x Moondrop MIRAGE.

• Active Noise Cancellation (ANC): “Realtime Adaptive”
• Battery life: Approximately 12.5 hours (AAC)
• Bluetooth version: 6.0
• Charging port: USB-C
• Driver: 10 mm dynamic driver with nano-titanium crystal diaphragm
• Maximum supported range: Approximately 10 m (in an obstacle-free environment)
• Playback time with the charging case: Approximately 41 hours (AAC)
• Protocols: A2DP / AVRCP / HFP/HSP
• Support for the Moondrop app with a 10-band Parametric Equalizer (PEQ)
• Supported Bluetooth audio codecs: SBC, AAC, and LHDC
• Weight: 4.6 g (including ear tips)

The Hatsune Miku x Moondrop MIRAGE is already available for pre-order in mainland China for 239 yuan (approximately US$35). The price is slightly higher than the standard Moondrop Pudding, which retails for 199 yuan (approximately US$29). Considering that the Pudding is priced at US$49.99 in the international market, the Hatsune Miku-themed TWS will likely retail between US$55 and US$60 internationally.
