The Moondrop Nice Buds received a new color option today (10). When it was first released, the flat-head earbud was offered in two color options: Transparent and Black. Now, the Moondrop Nice Buds can also be purchased in Blue.

Nice Buds: Flat-Head Earbuds Marking the 10th Anniversary of the Brand’s First Product

The first product Moondrop introduced to the market was a pair of flat-head earbuds. According to the manufacturer, “thanks to the engineering and carefully considered details,” the product achieved a “successful debut.” Ten years have passed, and the company continues to believe that this type of headphone still has a place in the market, leading to the release of the Nice Buds.

Tuning Designed to Improve Bass

Typically, flat-head earbuds do not deliver strong performance in low-frequency reproduction. With this in mind, Moondrop developed the Nice Buds housing with a dual-cavity acoustic system, in which a tube provides bass reinforcement. In addition, four openings allow for high damping in the movement of the drivers.

By combining this acoustic engineering with a 15.4 mm dynamic driver designed to improve resonances, Moondrop states that the Nice Buds are capable of reproducing sound with a natural and pleasant timbre.

Redesigned Sound Output Ports

To provide clearer sound reproduction, Moondrop redesigned the sound output ports. A new pattern was adopted with integrated channels designed to guide sound waves. According to the company, this approach ensures the “coherent transmission and natural dispersion of sound waves across all frequency bands.”

Design to Keep the Foam Covers in Place

It is not uncommon for earbud foam covers to shift out of place or even fall off. According to Moondrop, the design of the Nice Buds holds the foam covers more securely due to its shape. This form not only ensures greater stability for the foam covers but also improves acoustic performance and enhances user comfort, according to the manufacturer.

Asymmetric Design for a More Secure and Comfortable Fit

To provide a better fit within the outer ear, Moondrop developed a structure capable of achieving a superior level of fit in the user’s ear. As a result, the earbuds can be worn comfortably for extended periods without discomfort.
