We now arrive at the category of everyday-use products that can easily be employed in a wide range of scenarios, whether at work, while traveling, or during a walk. Specifically, this refers to Bluetooth wireless headphones—not TWS models, but rather over-ear and on-ear designs, which tend to offer greater comfort for most users. In 2026, FiiO intends to focus its investments exclusively on these types of Bluetooth headphones.

According to FiiO’s founder and CEO, James Chung, Bluetooth over-ear headphones are currently not a particularly attractive segment for large corporations such as Apple, Huawei, Xiaomi, and Samsung, which prefer to invest in TWS products due to the advantages provided by integration with their smartphones and smartwatches. As a result, an opportunity emerges for medium- and small-sized companies such as FiiO to invest in a segment that is currently largely unexplored.

Which Bluetooth wireless headphones will be launched in 2026?

FiiO plans to launch two Bluetooth over-ear headphones in 2026: the EH13 and the EH15. In addition, the Chinese audio equipment manufacturer also aims to develop an on-ear headphone with active noise cancellation (ANC).

The main highlights of the FiiO EH13 include a foldable headband, active noise cancellation, support for the LDAC codec, and the parametric equalizer (PEQ) available through the FiiO Control application. According to James, the development of the EH13 focused on “delivering the best possible sound quality within the product’s price range.”

The launch of the FiiO EH13 is scheduled for after March 3, which marks the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations. In 2026, the Chinese New Year holiday will be celebrated on February 17 and will last for 15 days, concluding with the Lantern Festival on March 3.

FiiO EH15 Bluetooth Over-Ear Headphone with ANC

According to James, the FiiO EH15 is the “Bluetooth version with ANC” of the FiiO FT1, a wired over-ear headphone equipped with a dynamic driver. This classification is due to the highly similar design, which features ear cups made of North American black walnut wood (Juglans nigra).

To facilitate portability, the EH15 employs a foldable headband structure similar to that of the JadeAudio JT7. According to James, FiiO’s goal is to introduce a Bluetooth over-ear headphone that stands out in the market through a combination of sound quality, comfort, and design.

The FiiO EH15 is scheduled for release in July 2026.

Development of a Retro On-Ear Bluetooth Wireless Headphone with ANC

FiiO also intends to develop a retro-style on-ear Bluetooth wireless headphone with ANC. However, the very form factor of this type of headphone makes it difficult to implement an effective active noise cancellation system, as the level of passive isolation is inherently low. Consequently, according to James, this project represents a significant technical challenge for the company.

According to James, the company will likely be able to “achieve approximately 30 dB of active noise cancellation.” However, he adds that ANC will not be particularly effective in extremely noisy environments and may also generate an uncomfortable sensation of pressure in the ears.

As the actual feasibility of this project is still uncertain and depends on further testing to determine whether mass production is viable, there is currently no projected release date for the retro on-ear Bluetooth wireless headphone with ANC.
