The disclosure of FiiO’s product launch plans for 2026 continues. This time, James Chung, CEO and founder of FiiO, shared information regarding the company’s desktop players. According to him, in 2026 FiiO intends to “deliver tasks that were left unfinished,” as the new version of the R7 and the S13 streamer were originally scheduled for release in 2025.
In addition to the FiiO S13 streamer and the FiiO R7 R2R desktop DAP, the major new product the brand is introducing in 2026 is the FiiO DP11 desktop CD player. According to James, the company’s desktop player lineup is still being “cultivated” and has not yet generated financial returns.
The main reason why the new R7 and the S13 were not launched in 2025 was precisely the lack of financial return in this product category, according to James.

Based on the original R7, the FiiO R7 R2R will feature not only an in-house–developed DAC with an R2R architecture but will also receive a system-on-chip (SoC) upgrade. To improve the user experience, the new version of the R7 will be equipped with a chipset based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680.
The launch of the FiiO R7 R2R is scheduled for June 2026.

The FiiO S13 streamer was announced as early as March 2025 and even received an official image showcasing its design. According to James, the reason the S13 did not reach the market was that the FiiO S15 failed to meet the company’s sales expectations.
The primary criticism of the S15 concerned its user experience, which was considered insufficient when compared to streamers such as the Eversolo DMP-A6 Gen 2 and the Eversolo Play. According to James, FiiO is “rebuilding the entire interaction system” and intends to “resolve these usability issues” before launching the S13.

However, additional barriers have emerged that may further hinder the release of the S13. According to James, the prices of metals and RAM memory chips have increased significantly. As the product is positioned as an “entry-level streamer,” James notes that the impact of rising material costs is even more pronounced.
Due to the issues mentioned above, there is currently no confirmed release schedule for the FiiO S13 in 2026. Should development of the streamer resume, its launch would only occur toward the end of the year, according to James.

The new FiiO DP11 CD player is positioned as an entry-level model, according to James. Its development was designed to complement FiiO’s K-series desktop DAC/amps, such as the FiiO K15, FiiO K17, and FiiO K19.
The concept behind the DP11 is to focus exclusively on high-quality CD playback at an accessible price point. The emphasis was not placed on offering an extensive set of features. According to James, this decision stems from the fact that “there are already many options available in the mid- and high-end desktop CD player market.”
The launch of the FiiO DP11 is scheduled for June 2026.

According to James, FiiO’s desktop mini rack will be released soon. An image of the product is shown below.
