The standard version of the Campfire Andromeda 10 was announced early last week. According to the manufacturer, the new Andromeda brings “a range of techniques and advancements developed since the release of the original model”, in addition to being a special 10th-anniversary edition celebrating the launch of the first version of the most popular in-ear monitor (IEM) from the American company.
Beyond the changes to the Andromeda 10’s sound, Campfire has finally decided to abandon the MMCX connector in this edition. On the product page, the company states the following:
“The Andromeda 10 is Campfire’s first IEM to implement standard 2-Pin connectors, improving cross-compatibility and ease of use across a wide range of products.”
This moment was certainly anticipated by many Campfire Audio fans and will allow—just as the manufacturer says—easier cable swapping, giving users more freedom to choose the cable they like most. However, note that the female 2-pin connection on the earpiece is recessed relative to the IEM body, and if the male 2-pin connector on the cable does not have matching dimensions, it will not fit.

There were also changes to the shell/housing (body) of the Andromeda 10, showing that the company is still striving to provide the best possible comfort for fans of the model. However, since each person has ears with different shell shapes and ear canal dimensions, ergonomics will work differently for each individual.
Released in 2023, the Emerald Sea version of the Andromeda was based on the original five-driver Andromeda, but with its external and internal structure completely redesigned, featuring new dual-diaphragm balanced armatures. The standard Andromeda 10 version, which will begin shipping in January 2026, features ten drivers, delivering higher technical performance without losing the sonic identity of the original Andromeda, according to the company.
“The Andromeda 10 is a ten-driver anniversary model that builds on the Andromeda sound with more drivers, upgraded internals, and special metal shells. It is designed as a ‘love letter’ to the original, with more resolution and technical performance while staying recognizably Andromeda.”

According to Campfire, the Andromeda 10 delivers “an incredible level of detail, resolution, soundstage, speed, and accuracy, while maintaining rich note weight, impact, and a subtle touch of warmth.” Its balanced armature configuration works as follows: four BAs for bass, four BAs for mids, and two BAs for treble.
It is also worth mentioning that for the midrange balanced armature array, Campfire developed a design called NEMC, which reduces and eliminates unwanted noise and resonance that can be present in BA driver technology. According to the company, this results in even greater clarity, highlighting details even more clearly.
There have also been changes in terms of accessories. While the Emerald Sea comes with three cables with 3.5 mm, 2.5 mm, and 4.4 mm plugs, the Andromeda 10 includes a modular cable that allows switching between USB-C, 4.4 mm, and 3.5 mm. In addition, six braided conductors are used this time to provide greater flexibility.

• Drivers: 10 BAs (4 for bass, 4 for mids, and 2 for treble)
• Impedance: 8.5 Ω @ 1 kHz
• Frequency response: 5–20 kHz
• Sensitivity: 94 dB @ 1 kHz – 12.10 mVrms
• THD: less than 1%
The standard Campfire Audio Andromeda 10 entered pre-order on December 19 for USD 1,799 on the brand’s website, with shipping scheduled for mid-January 2026.
Originally launched in September 2025 as the “Launch Edition,” the Andromeda 10 has two limited versions: black and gold. These models feature a Damascus steel faceplate. The standard version of the Andromeda 10 uses an aluminum housing in the traditional green color that has been used since the original Andromeda.
Founded in 2015 in the city of Portland, Oregon, USA, Campfire Audio was created by ALO Audio audio specialist Ken Ball and is a company focused on the development of in-ear monitor (IEM) headphones.
