The Topping DX1 II will be available for purchase soon, featuring a configuration that is impressive for a DAC/amp priced at only US$100. Shortly before the CanJam NYC 2026 event, part of the DAC and headphone amplifier’s specifications, as well as its release date, were revealed. Below are all the details regarding this new release.
The DX1 II was showcased not only at CanJam NYC 2026, but also at Topping’s booth during CanJam Dubai 2026 and CIHE Shanghai 2026. However, most of the information about the new DAC/amp emerged in the days leading up to the edition of the event organized by the Head-Fi forum in New York City, USA.

For reference, the Dubai edition of CanJam took place on January 24–25, while the NYC edition occurred on March 7–8. Finally, CIHE (China International Headphone Exhibition) 2026 was held in Shanghai on March 14–15.
The main features revealed for the Topping DX1 are outlined below.
For the first time, Topping has implemented headset support in its desktop DAC/amps. Through a 3.5 mm TRRS connection (4-pole), the DX1 II allows the use of microphones integrated into headphone cables. This feature is particularly useful for gaming chat and online meetings.
Alongside the 3.5 mm output, there is also a 4.4 mm balanced output, which offers advantages in terms of output power.
The DX1 II’s 4.4 mm outputs are fully balanced. In other words, they were not included merely for convenience and feature specifications distinct from the single-ended (SE) outputs. One of the key advantages is higher output power.

The DX1 II delivers an output power of 1000 mW at 32 ohms. This capability is remarkable considering that the DAC/amp is priced around US$100. According to Topping, the unit is capable of driving the Sennheiser HD 660S2 with a very solid sound and a high level of detail.

Despite offering such power, the DX1 II requires only a USB-C connection to achieve the necessary power supply.
The DX1 II is powered via USB-C. Computers and tablets can be used to supply power, making operation straightforward. However, when using a smartphone, not all models are capable of adequately powering the audio device.
To enhance versatility, the DX1 II supports the adjustment and storage of custom equalization profiles via a 10-band parametric equalizer (PEQ). Its implementation is expected to be similar to that found in the Topping DX5 II.

The UAC switch located on the rear of the DX1 II allows the DAC/amp to be connected to consoles such as the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 (PS5). This is achieved by switching from UAC (USB Audio Class) 2.0 to UAC 1.0.

• Analog line outputs: single-ended (SE) RCA and balanced 4.4 mm
• DAC: ESS ES9039Q2M
• Digital inputs: USB-C and optical (Toslink)
• Digital outputs: optical (Toslink)
• Headphone outputs: single-ended (SE) 3.5 mm TRRS and balanced 4.4 mm
