FiiO Reveals Stereo Amplifiers Planned for 2026

FiiO will launch several stereo amplifiers in 2026, according to the company’s CEO and founder, James Chung. While the Chinese manufacturer has already announced numerous products for this year, as previously reported by Hi-Fi Hub, James notes that he began his career 30 years ago working specifically with speaker amplifiers, making this initiative a return to an earlier area of expertise.

Which stereo amplifiers will be released in 2026?

In 2026, FiiO intends to introduce multiple stereo amplifiers. One of them has already been presented in a previous article: the FiiO EA13 OTC tube amplifier. Now, FiiO’s founder, James Chung, has revealed three additional models.

The first stereo amplifier scheduled for release this year is the FiiO LEVEL 1, which will debut shortly before the EA13. Following these initial launches, the remaining models are expected to arrive toward the end of the year. These include the hybrid FiiO LEVEL 2 and the FiiO AIR AMP, a stereo amplifier with integrated streaming functionality.

FiiO LEVEL 1 Stereo Amplifier

Compact and based on Class D topology, the FiiO LEVEL 1 stereo amplifier features an industrial design reminiscent of Japanese amplifiers from the 1980s and 1990s. Its chassis is constructed from aluminum alloy, complemented by solid wood side panels. The control knobs follow a retro design language that, according to James, FiiO “has been refining over the past two years.”

Delivering more than 100 watts per channel, the LEVEL 1 will be offered at a competitive price point, according to James. The company believes that its build quality, design, and pricing strategy will enable it to establish a presence in what is widely recognized as a highly competitive market segment.

The FiiO LEVEL 1 is scheduled for release before May 1, 2026.

FiiO LEVEL 2 Stereo Amplifier

Sharing a similar design with the LEVEL 1, the FiiO LEVEL 2 stereo amplifier adopts a hybrid amplification architecture, employing vacuum tubes in the preamplification stage and transistors in the power stage.

According to James, the objective is to achieve a more pleasing tonal character through the use of vacuum tubes, while delivering high efficiency and substantial output power through transistor-based Class D amplification.

The FiiO LEVEL 2 is expected to launch in November 2026.

FiiO AIR AMP Stereo Amplifier

With a design language similar to FiiO’s K11 and K13 headphone DAC/amps, the FiiO AIR AMP stereo amplifier integrates streaming functionality. According to James, it can be understood conceptually as a fusion of the FiiO SR11 music streaming receiver and the LEVEL 1.

James states that the AIR AMP was developed for users seeking “operational simplicity, convenience, and minimal spatial footprint.”

The FiiO AIR AMP is scheduled for release in November 2026.
