Digital Audio Player (DAP) SnowSky Disc is announced during CIHE 2025 (Image: Reproduction/FiiO)
The SnowSky Disc was announced during CIHE (China Guangzhou International Headphones Expo) 2025, a portable audio event held in Guangzhou, China. The Digital Audio Player (DAP) developed by FiiO’s subsidiary is compact and light enough to be attached, for example, to the back of a smartphone. Unlike the Echo Mini, the Disc supports microSD cards of up to 2TB and features a touch-sensitive display, making navigation easier.
Positioned above the Echo Mini, the SnowSky Disc follows the same idea of using a proprietary operating system, but with a more powerful SoC (Ingenic X2000). This allows for a smoother interface and music management on microSD cards of up to 2TB.

Instead of relying solely on physical buttons like the Echo Mini, the Disc features a circular touch-sensitive display that mimics the shape of a CD, according to FiiO. Another differentiating feature of the new DAP is support for the LDAC Bluetooth codec, an option not available on SnowSky’s more affordable model.
In terms of DAC and output power, the Disc is similar to the Echo Mini. While the former delivers a maximum output power of 280mW via the 4.4mm balanced output, the latter provides 250mW. The DAC chip used in both models is the same: the Cirrus Logic CS43131.
Battery life, however, sees a slight reduction. While the Echo Mini offers up to 15 hours of playback, the Disc provides up to 12 hours of continuous use.

Analyzing its available features, the Disc proves to be a versatile DAP, capable of functioning as:
• USB DAC/amp (external sound card)
• Bluetooth transmitter (allows connection to Bluetooth headphones and speakers)
• Transport (music player connected to a DAC or DAC/amp)
• Operating system: Proprietary
• SoC: Ingenic X2000
• Circular touch-sensitive display
• Supports microSD cards up to 2TB
• DAC: 2 × Cirrus Logic CS43131
• Output power: 280mW at 32 ohms
• USB DAC mode support (external sound card)
• USB audio output for connection to external DAC/amps
• SPDIF via the 3.5mm headphone output
• Battery life: Up to 12 hours
• Bluetooth: 5.4
• Codec support: SBC and LDAC
• Headphone outputs: 3.5mm and 4.4mm
• 4 custom stickers with creative artwork
The FiiO SnowSky Disc will be launched in December 2025 in black, pink, and blue, priced at 499 yuan (approximately US$70) in the Chinese market, and is expected to be sold internationally at a price between US$90 and US$100. Note that the FiiO SnowSky Echo Mini costs around US$50, roughly half the price of the Disc.
A protective case for the SnowSky Disc will be sold separately in red, green, and black. The box includes four stickers with creative artwork.
